The FST tests have shown that the group that took CBD swam the most which is a good indicator of less depressed rats. The group that took antidepressant medication also swam as well. However, the group that didn?t take any medication swam the least. This shows that CBD did in fact affect the behavior of depression in rats. Moreover, the group that took CBD was still swimming as much even after the medication stopped. The group that took antidepressant medication started to slowly go back to their depressed state. In one way antidepressant medication can become addicting to keep an individual with depression disorder happy.
